Why Tide Timing Matters for Sky Mirror
Sky Mirror (Sasaran Beach) only emerges when low tides expose the shallow sandbar in the middle of the Straits of Malacca. This phenomenon happens primarily during the 1st and 15th of the lunar month (New Moon & Full Moon), as well as 4–5 days before and after these dates.

What to Wear & Pack for Your Trip
To get the best reflective photos and remain comfortable on the water:
-
Clothing: Wear bright, bold colors (red, yellow, bright blue) to stand out clearly against the mirror reflection.
-
Footwear: Easy slip-on sandals or go barefoot once on the sandbar.
-
Essentials: Sunscreen, sunglasses, wide-brim hats, and a waterproof phone/camera pouch.
